Fundamental of IS - Week 2 [Career of IS]

 Before I begin the class, I would like to these questions to the student.

1. Why is the study of information systems important to you? 
2. What do you hope to learn from this course that will make it worthwhile for you?
3. Describe how you might use information systems in a career area of interest to you.
4. For an industry of your choice, describe how a CBIS could be used to reduce costs or increase profits.

Perhaps only the third and fourth question. For the first and second, it is better to ask them in the Week 12.

Fundamental of IS - Week 1

 This Week is Week 0. But I want to talk about Week 1. 

Nothing much on Week 1. I don't think I will have like a face-to-face lecture with the student. Not many student will come anyway. They could be busy trying to figure out their courses and also paying their tuition fees. 

But the lesson must go on despite not being face-to-face.

Instruction to the student

1. Walk into the class and introduce ourselves. Break the ice. Use Padlet for students to include their pictures and bio.
2. To read and do the activities stated in my Google site on Intro to IS. There are 5 activities that the student needs to do. 

Week will be the official face-to-face.

Happy New Year! I am teaching this January 2024 semester. The courses  that I will be teaching Fundamental of IS and Enterprise Resource Planning. As usual, new semester, we try to prepare early and hopefully to give the best learning experience to the students.
