There are only 2 students in Week 2. The lecture proceeds as usual. Lesson 1 is on Introduction to IS. We began the lesson with the topic data and information. Because of the course is Fundamental of IS, therefore it is important for the students to know what is data and what is information and how the two are different from one another.
The concept of data is easy to understand in which data is about raw and unprocessed facts. When you processed the data, it becomes information.
Next topic is on the overview of IS. I defined what IS is. IS consists of a set of interrelated components that manipulate, store and disseminate data and information and provide a feedback mechanism. I just asked the students to know the core components of the defintion
