Collaboration Tools

One of the activities in my class require students, in groups, to collaborate in preparing the in-class assignment report. Other groups can view the work of other group. I used to use Google Jamboard because it is free. But Google Jamboard will be discontinued. What are other alternative tools that I can use apart from Google Jamboard for student collaboration. These are some collaboration tools that lecturers can use:

Recommended by Google:

FigJam (by Figma): This is a strong contender with a free plan and more features than Jamboard. It offers an infinite canvas, sticky notes, shapes, drawing tools, and templates. It also allows embedding media and links. You can create sections within the canvas to mimic Jamboard's slide-based structure.

Lucidspark (by Lucid): Similar to FigJam, Lucidspark provides a digital whiteboard with collaboration features, commenting, voting, and templates. It also integrates well with other platforms. They offer a free plan for educators.

Miro: Miro is another popular choice with a wide range of features for brainstorming, visual collaboration, and project management. It has a free plan with limited features, and educational pricing is available.

Other Alternatives:

Microsoft Whiteboard: If your school uses Microsoft products, this is a good option. It's integrated with Microsoft Teams and offers similar features to Jamboard.

Padlet: Padlet is a versatile tool that can be used for various collaborative activities. It offers different formats for presenting information, including walls, canvases, and streams. It's easy to use and has a free plan with limitations.

Canva: While known for graphic design, Canva also has collaborative whiteboard features with templates and design elements. It's user-friendly and offers a free plan.
