EA Lecturer Reflection #2 Jan 2020

Week 3

The lecture begins with a Quiz of the Day. I posted a quiz on Instagram and students have to answer the quiz by posting it on the Comments section.

The question was Describe system level approach and how is it different from EA. System level approach refers to approach in which departments in the organizations implement its own information technology solutions with out considering the integrated strategy, technology and business perspective. It is different from EA whereas the implementation of IT solutions within EA considers the integrated strategy, technology and business perspective.

The keyword in system level approach is lack of integrated perspectives of strategy, business and technology.

Second agenda was recapping what have been mentioned in Week 2.

Third agenda is the Activity of the Day (AOTD). This week's AOTD is about the impact of system level appraoch e.g increase cost of IT development and maintenance, the inability for organizations to respond in effective and efficient manner and a data being out of date and not updated.

The fourth agenda is the delivery of the lecture on EA Activities. I managed to present EA as a management program and stopped at explaining the concept of line of business and architecture segment.

Week 4

Week 4 is a holiday. In fact, the whole Week 4 is a holiday. In Week 4, the topic that I would like to cover is Structure and Culture of Enterprise.
